Special Access to LIS research on Library Spaces

Library Spaces: special access to LIS research

We’re pleased to bring you a virtual issue of specially-selected articles on the topic of ‘Library Space’.

The articles, from Library Management, New Library World and Library Hi Tech journals, explore the approaches and challenges faced by libraries in developing their physical space. This is at a time when increasing provision of information in digital format, whether native or the digitization of existing collections, may call into question the need for library space (Les Watson, 2016, Editorial, New Library World, Volume 117, Issue 1/ 2) – but, when physical space nonetheless continues to play an important role in learning, teaching and research (Graham Matthews & Graham Walton in "Strategic development of university library space", below).
The articles are free to view until 2 July 2016 – simply click on the links below to view.

We hope you enjoy reading!
